Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. Service Description

Neutra CO₂ provides a digital platform that enables interior designers, architects, and property developers to estimate the carbon footprint of renovation projects, purchase verified carbon credits through Gold Standard, and receive certificates documenting the offset.

2. Estimation Disclaimer

The carbon footprint calculations provided by Neutra CO₂ are estimates based on average emission factors from publicly available databases (ICE v2.0, DEFRA 2023, EPA eGRID 2023). They are not based on specific product Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) unless explicitly stated. The estimates are indicative and do not constitute an official certification or audit. Neutra CO₂ is not ISO 14064 certified. The methodology is informed by GHG Protocol principles but has not been independently verified.

3. Certificates

Certificates issued by Neutra CO₂ are voluntary declarations. In Europe, certificates are titled "Climate Contribution Certificate" and do not constitute a claim of carbon neutrality under EU Directive 2024/825 (ECGT). Outside Europe, certificates are titled "Voluntary Carbon Neutrality Certificate". All certificates are based on estimated emissions and certified offsets, are not legally mandated, and have not been independently verified by a third-party auditor.

4. Carbon Credits

Carbon credits are purchased exclusively from Gold Standard verified projects. Neutra CO₂ acts as an intermediary — we purchase credits on your behalf and retire them against your project. A 10% buffer is applied to credit purchases to account for estimation uncertainty. The certificate includes the Gold Standard certificate ID and verification link for traceability.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for: providing accurate project data (dimensions, materials, quantities), reviewing and confirming default values before calculation, verifying that the calculation results are reasonable for your project, and not misrepresenting certificates as official third-party certifications.

6. Pricing & Payments

Pricing consists of: subscription fees (monthly or annual), a per-project certificate issuance fee, and carbon credit costs (based on current Gold Standard pricing plus a service margin). All prices are displayed before purchase. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if credits have not yet been retired.

7. Intellectual Property

Neutra CO₂ is a registered trademark. The platform, calculation methodology, and all associated documentation are the intellectual property of Neutra CO₂. You retain ownership of your project data. By using the service, you grant us a license to process your data for the purposes of providing the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Neutra CO₂ provides emission estimates to the best of its ability using recognized data sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of estimates. We are not liable for: decisions made based on our estimates, regulatory non-compliance arising from use of our certificates, or any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Data Protection

We process your data in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Project data is stored securely and not shared with third parties except as required to provide the service (Supabase, Stripe, Gold Standard).

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your project data will be retained for 5 years to satisfy QES availability requirements, after which it will be deleted. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms.
